Trevor Tobey (President)

Hello, my name is Trevor Tobey, and I’m excited to run for Student Association President! I’m a rising senior from Hanszen studying Economics and Sport Law. Over the last two years, I’ve served as Hanszen Senator and Student Association Parliamentarian, gaining firsthand experience in student governance. With a $400,000 budget and real influence, the Student Association has the power to significantly improve your Rice experience. As President, I will maximize every resource, advocate relentlessly, and work harder than ever to make the Student Association work for YOU.

I will fight for priorities and policies that matter most to you:

Better Dining & Affordability – More flexible meal plans and late-night food options.

24/7 Fondren Library – Because students should have access to study spaces anytime.

$10 Printing Credit – No student should have to worry about printing costs.

Protecting Public Parties – Ensuring student social life remains free from unnecessary restrictions.

Sustainable Cultural Club Funding – Prioritizing financial support for diverse student organizations.

Expanded Student Discounts – More deals at Houston businesses.

Mental Health Resources – Strengthening support both on and off campus.

Free Speech & Open Dialogue – Promoting a campus where all voices are heard.

We’ll prioritize efficient spending, ensure financial transparency, and refocus on serving YOU. Our government will be efficient, inclusive, and driven by student needs. The Student Association will become your strongest advocate, ensuring your voice is heard and your needs are prioritized.

Let’s build a better Rice together!
