Wellbeing Commission

Mission Statement:

The Student Association Wellbeing Commission is dedicated to promoting and raising awareness for the mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing of students. Our goal is to foster open dialogue and supportive spaces for mental health and wellbeing by offering initiatives such as resource distribution, educational programs, and mental health-based peer support networks. By fostering collaboration with campus resources and community partners, our mission is to address the diverse needs and, thus, enhance the overall wellbeing of the Rice student body.

Commission Board

Chair

Aryana Suhartono

Hello everyone! My name is Aryana, and I am a senior at Hanszen studying Psychology, Anthropology, and Medical Humanities on the Pre-PA track. I joined the SA Wellbeing Commission during my freshmen year and was heavily involved in Mental Health Week and O-Week initiatives. I love the commission's opportunities to explore different initiatives to raise awareness and provide mental health and wellbeing access and support to students. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, exploring the Houston dessert scene, and playing Just Dance. I'm super excited to meet you all as the Wellbeing Commission Chair, and feel free to reach out at any time!
