Hi Owls! My name is Sohani Sandhu, and I am running to be your next Student Association Internal Vice President!

As an SA DEI Commission Head for the past two years and an NSR as a freshman, I have seen the SA evolve into an organization striving to advocate for student well-being. As IVP, I will push this progress further to ensure the SA truly serves every student—not just in name, but in practice.

My top priorities are:

1. Making student advocacy more accessible within the SA and across campus.

2. Strengthening SA Commissions to increase their visibility and impact.

3. Helping NSRs continue their projects beyond their term.

4. The SA’s complex structure often makes it difficult for students to engage with their representatives and for representatives to advocate effectively. As IVP, I will elucidate this structure so every student understands what decisions are being made, how they are affected, and how they can advocate for change.

Our SA Commissions are tackling critical issues like fair wages for student employees, sustainability, and gender inclusivity, but they need greater visibility. As IVP, I will amplify their initiatives at the student and faculty levels to maximize impact.

Under the guidance of our current IVP, NSRs are working on projects that will positively impact our student body; as IVP, I will ensure that NSRs are supported so that their projects are carried through to completion once their term ends.
